Entry to the Honours program is at the beginning of the third year of the undergraduate program. Applications open in Semester 2, Year 2. Eligibility for admission is based on performance during Years 1 and 2 of the pass degree. Selection of students into the Honours program is competitive, and based on the student's Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65 without any failed grades. Students must also maintain at least a credit average over the course of the Honours program.
The honours program is a Faculty wide program and runs in tandem with the pass program. The program will equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to ultilise and produce high quality research. They will also learn how to plan, conduct and write up a research project, under the guidance of senior research scholars within the Faculty. The program includes lectures and seminars with students from across the Disciplines in the Faculty in addition to individual research project supervision meetings.
