Students must also maintain at least a credit average over the course of the Honours program.
The Honours program is a Faculty wide program and runs in tandem with the pass program. The program will equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to utilise and produce high quality research. They will also learn how to plan, conduct and write up a research project, under the guidance of senior research scholars within the Faculty. The program includes lectures and seminars with students from across the Disciplines in the Faculty in addition to individual research project supervision meetings.

Completion of the BA Pass degree or equivalent, with a GPA of 5 (or higher amount set by the Head of School) in a relevant major or extended major or the relevant honours entry courses.
The BA (honours) degree develops core skills and knowledge in theory and research in the humanities and social sciences. The program is based on a combination of coursework and a research project in the chosen field of study. Its objective is to produce graduates who will be able to think clearly, flexibly and critically, and be able to weigh up evidence and arguments and make rational choices. Graduates should be able to express themselves effectively, both orally and in writing; be able to work cooperatively in a team; and be able to demonstrate a depth of understanding in one or more fields of knowledge. The Honours Program also prepares students for further study at the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) level.

To enrol for honours, a student must complete the Bachelor of Commerce program requirements or equivalent with a GPA of at least 5.5.International students may start in Semester one only.
The honours program provides Bachelor of Commerce graduates with an extra year of high quality study to enhance their business and finance skills. This program will appeal to high achieving students eager to pursue research and more advanced coursework.

The minimum entry requirement to the Business School Honours Program is a completed pass degree with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 across all units of study taken, and a minimum of 70 in units completed in the major relating to the intended specialization in the Honours Program. Students are required to have a major in the field of study in which they intend to undertake their Honours Year. Entry requirements may be waived for an applicant by the Associate Dean (UG) and Honours Program Director only in exceptional circumstances.
The Business School Honours Program is an additional year of intensive study that students with a superior academic record may undertake upon completion of the Bachelor of Commerce. The program is designed to challenge, inspire and set you apart to accelerate your global business career.
